Welcome to Celtic Designs , where we
specialize in stone cast Celtic art work. I have personally been involved
with this style of art work for the past 5 years. My art work falls into
two categories .
- Celtic Crosses, they are either wall
mounted or table top. I style them after more ancient designs such as
the cross of the scriptures in Clonmaconoise.
- Custom ,this type of work Is not
necessarily Celtic in design. The custom work that I have done is
usually for weddings, in the form of keep sakes that all the attendees
receive. They range from candle holders to Christmas tree
ornaments.
I use high quality latex or
polyurethane rubber molds. Item are usually cast in "hydrocal" or
"hydrostone" both are a very dense hard forms of plaster . I also dye the
plaster with pigment either gray or sand stone. By dying the plaster the
end product is less susceptible to scratch marks.
