“These Circle L bucks are a sampling of the different types and colors of Hollands that we raise….most of them would also have to be included as being among our favorite herd bucks as to having and also throwing good type and a nice workable temperament ( in other words, they spoil very easily) ….. ”

Circle L’s Pepperpot
GC Herd Buck

“Pot”
is out of my GC chestnut agouti herd buck Hot Shot and a br black doe who was out of the original “Madcap” chestnut buck. He is a great-grandson of Spoiled Rotten and carries his wonderul attitude, plus is a ham to boot as you can see. If you come in the barn, and don’t open his cage, he will either stomp or run in circles until you do. He has awesome width and depth of body, plus a beautiful head and hindquarters that fill all the way down. He usually does well on the show table, but is mostly being used in the barn now. He has already sired a big winner in Honeypot, and hopefully more like her will soon follow.

Circle L’s Highbrow
Exciting Young Chestnut Agouti Herd Buck

“Highbrow”
is just starting to be shown, and I have great hopes for him not only on the show table, but as a herd buck. He is a cross between our Hazzard line (his dad is Chase) and our color line (his mom is Aggie). He has a great up pose, a gorgeous head, a smooth body, and nice bone to boot. With not being shown as a jr, he just needs to get used to the show table and being handled by different judges.

Circle L’s Pepper Me Hot
Promising Young Broken Herd Buck

“Hot” is a very promising young BSB out of Hot Pepper and a chestnut agouti doe out of Aggie.
He hit the show table with a bang this summer with a double BOB win at 11 months of age in only his 2nd show, and I have big hopes for him to do well on the show table as he gets older. He is short and typy, with great bone and a head that will only get bettter, but his real strong point is his rock hard body. His first litter is just being weaned and as you can imagine he is seeing more does.

Circle L’s Chase
Foundation Herd Buck

“Chase”
is another Hazzard son and earned his name after I chased him all over the place as a youngster after he continuously jumped off the show table when I worked with him. He settled down with age, and now he insists on being scratched and you have to literally push him out of the door so you can feed him. He is the bun my granddaughter Sara pulls her stool up to and pets or shows to anyone when she is in the barn with me. He broke his toe trying to escape the judge in his first show, and has never been shown again because it didn’t heal right. He has excellent bone, beautiful short ears and head shape, great width and depth, and very smooth hindquarters. He does not throw his slipped crown, and has been one of my most consistent producer of show winners. The SJB Adam who won BOB at the 2001 TRBA Open State Show is one of his many winners.

Circle L’s Jack Hammer
Hazzard Line Herd Buck

“Jack”
is out of Hammer who was another Hazzard son and a br tort doe out of my Show Me owned by Cheryl Guerin. He has not been shown much yet, but just needs another sr leg to grand out. His strong point is his gorgeous head, but he needs a little more hindend IMO. He also is just starting to be used in the brood barn, and should sire some nice buns soon.

Circle L’s Blister
Promising Young Herd Buck

“Blister”
was only shown 3 times as a jr and earned 3 legs with BOS’s under Ken McKracken and Randy Shumaker, and already has a couple of 2nds in his quest for his GC. He has an awesome head already, along with great bone, and is smooth and full all the way to the table. He is also out of our GC chestnut Hot Shot. Although just starting to be used as a herd buck, he is showing great promise. Jalapeno, the SJB who won RES BIS under Randy Shumaker at the 2003 TRBA State Show, was from his first litter.

Circle L’s Dr Pepper
Promising Young Color Herd Buck

“Doc” is the last buck I kept from Hot Pepper,
and he has his sire’s and great-great-grandsire Rotten’s striking looks, and hopefully will follow in their footsteps as he matures. He is the same breeding as Pepper Me Hot, and is also short and typy, with that nice head and short thick ears. He should be ready for the the show table next spring, and will soon be bred to his first does.

Circle L’s Punkin
Promising Young Orange Herd Buck

“Punk”
is a beautifully clean orange buck, and is being used in the color barn. He was out of an orange buck we got from the Albrecht’s in AZ, and a chestnut doe out of our big dumbo orange doe Buttercup who produced so many winners. I like everything about him except for a slight crease in the ears. He was not shown as a jr, but has developed nicely, and has been shown some as a young sr now. I have not bred him a lot, and still hope to get something nice from him.

Circle L’s Pogo
Mojo Line Herd Buck

“Pogo” is out of our tri-color buck Gizmo who was out of Mojo,
and Showvanna, a very nice br tort foundation doe. He is very small, short, and typy, with a nice well filled rear, but like all the Mojo line, is waiting on that head to develope as he ages. His first buns are due soon. .

Circle L’s Quirky
Color Herd Buck

“Quirky” is a young squirrel buck
who I am just starting to use. He has a gorgeous head, along with a nice smooth body, but a little length IMO. He is out of Mueller’s Berkley, a chin buck I got in AZ from Theresa Mueller, and a Circle L line-bred chin doe. His first buns should be interesting.
