Draft Bangladesh Day Announcement
The Bangladeshi-American Foundation will organize the Bangladesh Day at a hotel in Washington, DC, with easy access to the National Zoo and other Washington landmarks. Arrangements will be made to hold similar functions through member organizations in other State capitals and in all major centers of the Bangladeshi-American community.
The Bangladesh Day will initially consist of a grand Bangladesh Bazar combined with fashion and musical shows for the general public, and a reception-cum-dinner and a Foundation Lecture. The reception will consist of soft drinks and typical Bangladeshi appetizers. The dinner menu will have typical Bangladeshi food.
A publication coinciding with the first Bangladesh Day will include relevant articles about the Bangladeshi-American community, and information useful for them. See Bangladesh Day Publication for a tentative structure of the proposed publication.
The exact date of the First Bangladesh Day and program details will be announced in due time.
