Welcome to the Angband homepage. Now, you may be wondering, "What is Angband?" Well, Angband was the fortress of Morgoth/Melkor in a book by JRR Tolkien called The Silmarillion. It's also a culture on Beleriand MUSH, a MUSH based on The Silmarillion. You can find out more about Beleriand here
Angband is the largest culture in Beleriand, and also one of the most active. We take pride in both those things, and our good roleplay (RP). We also house the most restricted races (werewolves, dragons, trolls, vampires, and balrogs).
That 's us (O)ut (O)f (C)haracter, who we are in real life (RL). But (I)n (C)haracter (who our characters are), it's a different story. Orcs fight. All the time, even among themselves. Orcs are very hateful creatures. It is said that death is preferrable to an orc's life. So why would you want to be an orc? Well, because Angband is the only evil culture. So if you want to play a bad guy, Angband is the place to be.
