Band Biography

In 1997 or so, we (Aaron, Bob, Jeremy and Justin) formed a band. We were called "Stones in your Shoes" We were a mainly heavy rock. We made music together until May of 1998 that is when Jeremy's and his family moved to Lexington, Ky.

Over the summer of 1998 after Jeremy's departure from the band Justin Aaron and Bob decided that the name should change. We chose "Too Many Tourists" we got it from the fact that everyone on Earth is a tourist, they are just waiting to go to an eternal home. There are Too Many of them that are going to Hell as their eternal home and we want to change that. Also over that summer and fall Justin, Aaron, and Bob wrote quite abit of material.

In the Early part Of 1999 we were looking for new singer to replace Jeremy. We kind of steped out of our comfort zones and after hours of thought we chose a girl to sing for us. With Kendra, our songs took on a new form. It was harder to write songs especially designed for her. Somehow we have pulled through.

In the Mid part of 1999 we added one of the most spiritually focused persons to the band. Eric Robertson. His faith and devotion to God was the main choice in letting him join the band. He has added a new prospective of worship and dicipleship to the band.

In Late October and Early November Too Many Tourists recorded their first album "Three Years Later." The focus of the CD is not just to sell CD's or make money but to be an enhancement to the works of God in peoples lives. Bassest Bob Keller says "Hopefully people will listen the the variety of music and see that its much like the world, each track is different. Its much like the different ways to worship..."
