Chocolate Chip Cookies
  • 2-1/4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar - firmly packed
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 - 12 oz. pkg. ( 2 cups) semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Preparation -
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda , and salt; set aside. In a large, separate bowl, mix the butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla together. Beat until creamy and well blended. Beat in the eggs. Gradually add the flour mixture and mix well. Stir in the chocolate morsels and nuts (if using). Drop by rounded tablespoons full onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake in a preheated oven at 375 for 9 to 11 minutes.
