My name is Jayne and I live with my husband and young daughter in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

I got my first Sindy doll for Christmas in 1978 when I was 4 years old. My parents bought me a blonde ballerina doll and I loved her!

I kept my original collection until my parents decided I was too old for dolls and made me sell my entire collection for just £10!!!!! Aaarrrrgggghhh!

I started trying to rebuild my collection in 1994 when my husband and I bought our first home. At first I was unsure what his reaction would be when I wanted to start collecting Sindy again, but he was really understanding about sharing our home with her!

I now have a room full of Sindy dolls, clothes and furniture and it’s heaven! My favourite Sindy period, like most collectors, is the Pedigree era - 1962 to 1986. I get most of my collection from the local paper or from auction sites on the Internet.
