This picture was taken while I was being mauled in the front row at the San Diego show at the Cox Arena December 14th. The song at the moment was Meat Is Murder (can you tell?) This had been the first time I had seen him live since the Coachella fiasco, so I was really excited. I had anticipated this day for months, and it had finally arrived. Damn, ain't he handsome?

Hellos! I was fortunate enough to be in the front row for San Diego and the first Hollywood show, and I've got the bruises and backaches to prove it!! I'm still shaken, I'm still daydreaming. Seeing Morrissey upclose is like nothing else I have ever experienced. The first night had been a long one since we had all waited outside in the freezing cold until 7:30, having stood in line since noon. But as soon as the line started shifting forward, the cold disappeared and I instantly felt flushed. As soon as I got my ticket checked, I ran to get my wristband for floor access. As soon as I had it on we ran down the flight of stairs, and secured our spot at the front of the stage. I couldn't believe it--I had never been so close to the stage. In Coachella I was in the front row as well, but the stage was so far away from the barrier. We listened to Sack, the opening act, and I actually liked a bunch of their songs. We then waited again for Morrissey, and soon, the lights went out and the crowd went crazy. Then it happened. He was on stage, along with the lads, and he stood right before me. I honestly felt like I was going to faint. He looked so happy..."HELLO SAN DI-GRINGO!!" I was getting the living daylights squeezed out of me but I didn't care. Morrissey was only a few feet away. I had to remind myself to take pictures because I was so mesmerized by him. I enjoyed making eye contact with Alain, though. He kept winking, and when he saw I was getting crushed he actually had a look of concern on his face!! Ok, back to Morrissey...the songs were sung with such passion, he whipped the microphone cord with fervor, he was so into it....definitely a night to remember...and that was only day one...
