The Outcast Racing Team consists of myself Don Clevenger and my wife Linda.  We travel the NHRA racing circuit going from track to track in division 4.  We have been as far west as California and as far east as Florida.  Drag Racing is the love of our life and we go somewhere racing every weekend of the year except the off season.  Our car is a 250" rear engine dragster with a 468 Cu. In. big block Chevrolet.

Drag Racing has been around for some 50+ years.  Men have always enjoyed making their cars run faster and faster.  Drag Racing is usually 1/4 or 1/8th mile.  The cars are run two at a time usually on a handy capped system or in Pro classes heads up.  The tree to the left is referred to as a full tree in which the cars leave the line at the appropriate time.  The top yellow bulbs are Stage and Pre-Stage for the car.  The amber lights on a full tree are spaced .5th of a second apart while the pro tree at the right  all amber lights come on at the same time.  That's called heads up racing where there is no handy cap.  A .500 light is a perfect light on a full tree while a .400 is a perfect light on a pro tree.  The racers refer to E.T. (Elapsed Time) and MPH (Mile Per Hour) that the cars run.  The first car to cross the finish line with out breaking out is the winner and advances to the next round.  The loser is out and can't compete any more.
