Welcome!

From 1996 to 2002 I worked alongside James Thornton in the Theatre Arts Department at Shaker Heights High School.  Following the 2002 school year I departed to the University of Virginia to pursue a Ph.D. from the Curry School of Education.  That goal is approaching final curtain as I am engaged in my doctoral research work.

My research will focus on theatre arts education and more specifically how concepts learned in theatre arts education continually impact the lives of participants.  This website will be actively updated with progress reports on the RESEARCH and an updated RESEARCH SCHEDULE.

This site is also designed to provide a means for Shaker Theatre Arts Department Graduates to add and/or update their contact information for use in future research as it relates to theatre arts education.

If you are a graduate of the Shaker Theatre Arts Program please click on the SHAKER THEATRE ALUMNI link to provide your current contact information.  The contact information that you provide is obviously volunteered.  All information will be used solely by Ned Gallaway and/or James Thornton as it relates to personal and professional correspondence in regard to future research, professional opportunities and general SHARINGS.

I appreciate you taking the time to visit this site.  If you are a supporter, parent or friend of Shaker Theatre and would like to receive research updates from time to time or would like to volunteer your assistance in some capacity, please sign up on the FRIENDS contact list.
