I can help you get a SIO2PC device looking like that:
It is very useful if you have an old 8-bit Atari computer and want to connect it to your PC. Reasons you would like to do that? At least two: firstly many programs for those memorable machines are now floating freely over the net - why not to try them on the real thing? Secondly, you may want to transfer your files from Atarian disks or tapes to some modern storage. The interface is very robust and I am quite sure you will enjoy it.
If you just look for info/schematics - there is an excellent compilation of various schematics at Clarence Dyson's page.
PC programs for SIO2PC operation can be downloaded here, check out homepages for more info (credits, specific schematics, full documentation etc.):
NEW! ARFD - multipurpouse software, a must for any Atari fan, can use the same cable as SIO2PC for direct hookup of Atarian floppy drive to a PC. Info and download here.
