Anarchy

A society without government without rules or regulations would this really be chaos or would it just be Anarchy.

Hello, my name is Dan Murray. I=m here to talk about the political theory called Anarchy.

Anarchism probably has more lies talked about it than any other political idea. Anarchism is very different from what most people think it is. It has nothing to do with chaos, death, mindless destruction or beating up old ladies.

We have this image of anarchism because the press, television, movies, our government and almost any form of authority in our lives refer to anarchism as pure chaos.

But the real meaning of anarchism is very simple. It means living in a society without government this seems almost unthinkable to most people. Having no greater power, no authority and everyone does as they please how could this work?

Most people know the symbols of anarchy but do not know their meanings. There are three main symbols of anarchy. Firstly the black flag ,first used by Louise Michel in 1871. Nest the red and black flag which has been associated with anarchism for a long time. It was used in Spain during the Spanish civil war. Lastly the most known symbol of anarchy is the circled A. It represents the saying of Proudhon that Aanarchy is order@

Different groups of anarchists have different ideas on how a perfect anarchist society would be organized but they all agree that the government must be abolished and we should have a society without classes and without the police and army.

So how would an anarchist society deal with murders or other crimes without police? Most murders are crimes of passion so hopefully in a less frustrating society these crimes would be less common.

But how would they deal with theft? If we as a community owned and shared all resources stealing would be pointless. Remember Aall property is theft@ What about the people who refuse to work? Well we would think that some social pressure would be used. These people would be ignored or excluded from the community.

So what are some of the problems with our capitalist society? The problems with our capitalist society are that there are taxes, abuses of power, unemployment poor health care, expensive higher education and too many rules and regulations. There must be a better way.

How would schooling work in an anarchist society? Education is a very important part of life. But schools in our society are mainly concerned with sorting and grading us for our future roles in society. They give you a respect for authority that is useless for an anarchist society.

Real education is the opposite of compulsory schooling in an anarchist point of view. An anarchist schooling would equip us with minds that would understand and change the world for the better. Education would be integrated with work and everyday life.

Surely there is a better way then capitalism. I believe the better way is anarchy. This now know concludes my speech on anarchy. I hope it has made you understand anarchism a lot better. And remember, anarchy is not chaos anarchy means to take control of our own lives and create our own order.

So what is the best political theory you can make that decision and maybe make this one by yourself

Thank you!!!
Dan murray
