Bogans are thought to have first appeared long before the history of mankind. They are warm blooded mammals with large builds for fighting. It is thought that they began evolving around the same time as monkeys and lived to see the evolution of man. The Bogan managed to survive the ice age by killing all other creatures and it is believed that many creatures were killed off by the bogan such as the dodo bird and mammoth.
The Bogan, being naturally hairy required no clothing at all, its habitat was mainly caves but some bogans actually dug burrows to live in and feed their young, similar to wombats in many ways. It is believed amongst many bogan researchers that wombats evolved from bogans.
They discovered alcohol almost as soon as they evolved a large enough brain and this halted any further mental development leaving the species as a whole, less intelligent than human beings.
The bogans have now moved on from their primitive lifestyle, lying dormant and hibernating
for millions of years until the late 1970's and early 1980's when they re-appeared all over the world.
Many were killed off during the ice age and during the middle ages because of their rare cranium hair which is called a Mullet. Some bogans managed to survive the cold and resisted poachers and this is how they were revived in the 1970's as well as a massive breeding program which began in the late 1950's to recover the endangered species.
Various well known bands in the early 1980's and even to this day appeared such as Slay3r, M3tallica, AkaDaka, M3gadeth and Ir0n Maid3n.
Most other races of bogans were wiped out by poachers, harsh weather conditions and unsuccessful breeding programs but in the harsh environment of Australia they flourished. Upon being released into the wild once more their numbers increased and sadly so did pollution levels (as well as cigarette and alcohol sales). The Bogan is now a necessary part of Australian nature and without them the ecosystem would fall apart.
Some new information has been brought to our attention by our reasearch consultant, Antony. "I've received information that the origins of the word are based around the Bogan River in New South Wales, where sometime earlier this century the people of the region had a reputation for being somewhat uncivilised."
