The Winged Wonders

Baby Firefly

Though her mother is without doubt THE most mentioned pony in all of Pony Legend, very little is in fact known about Baby Firefly. She is, like her mother, a supremely adventurous spirit, never backing down from any challenge. She is not, however, with that special pony softness which we all love. She is already an expert flyer (in fact, it is she who helps train the other baby pegasi- poor Baby Lofty!) and she seems to intuit quite clearly pony magic. Much to the chagrin of her mother, she is also the only baby pony who will flee outside in the chaos of a thunder storm.

Baby Medley

Baby Medley is one of the most special babies you'll ever come across. Wherever her little wings carry her, one hears the soft chiming of a thousand bells floating in the air. Baby Medley is quite soft-spoken, but loves tagging along on adventures with her favorite companion, Baby Firefly. She has perhaps the sweetest voice of all the young ponies of Ponyland, and sings early each morning as Sunbeam calls the sun to rise.

Baby Heart Throb

Baby Heart Throb is a lost cause- never has there been such a lovelorn fool in all of ponyland! She is in many ways the self-proclaimed cupid of ponyland, which can sometimes be a bit frustrating given the dearth of male ponies (wink, wink!) But Baby Heart Throb has found other avenues more inspiring to romance, especially among the resident bushwoolies and dragons, whom she has united one more than one occasion. She's even had success inspiring the romantic sides of some of the least sentimental ponies, including cynical Lickety Split and stubborn Gusty.

Baby Lofty

Poor Baby Lofty! She is, we are a bit hesitant to say, the absolute worst flyer in all of Ponyland. Even earthlings like Baby Shady and Baby Snuzzle have much better experiences being air-borne than Baby Lofty! Her secret desire is to be a unicorn, like Skyflier and Moondancer, who don't need to fly to get from one place to another- they merely wink in and out, apparating magically through open areas. Baby Lofty's worst experience flying involved the annual Interspecies Gathering of Dream Valley thrown by the palace each fall. You can imagine what the air races were like- it's one thing to fly opposite Baby Firefly and Baby Honeycomb, quite another to find yourself falling between a family of careening blue-winged dragons! Lofty managed to find her in time and carry her safely back to the palace grounds.

(Collector's Aside: This NBBE version of Baby Lofty is the supremely rare Brazilian and is the jewel of my collection. She cost me all of my original TAF Babies, but so be it! She is *AWESOME* as you can see!)

Baby Honeycomb

Baby Honeycomb is a bit of a mystery to those who know her: she is a very guarded little pony, spending most of her day alone and above in the clouds. She is without question the very best flyer of all the young pegasi in Ponyland. She also has an intense fondness for bumblebees, and is frequently seen chasing a swarm or two around the edges of Posey's garden. Baby Honeycomb is one of the most special baby ponies, serving as one of Baby Majesty's most cherished confidantes and companions.

Baby Surprise

Baby Surprise is one enormously good time packed into one little pony- what else can one say about her? Always (and I do mean always ,) in an upbeat, mischevious mood, no other pony is more fun to spend time with. That said, she is not above springing surprises and practical tricks on her dearest friends, including the nearly identical Baby Honeycomb, whose disposition, is, well, ill-suited for this sort of behavior. But what's a little pony to do? One can't stay cross with Baby Surprise for long- she is just too lovable!
