Baby Twilight is unique among the baby unicorns: she is the only unicorn gifted with the ability of flight, though she is only able to use this power in special situations. This special power extends from her connection to the stars, (for like her mother) she is a descendant of the Star of Lumina, central constellation of the Galaxy to which Dream Valley belongs. Baby Twilight's main power, however, is to call to the front of every night sky the brightest stars of the universe which are the sources of the special powers of the celestial unicorns. Every so often, when all the other ponies have settled into their resting spots for the night, Baby Twilight and her mother will take off for a midnight ride among the thousands of stars that make up the hundreds of constellations one sees in the night sky. If ever you stare into the Heavens and think you you hear the clatter of tiny hooves and sweet laughter in the distance, you will know who is out chasing dreams that night . . .
Baby Sunbeam
If ever there was a contest for the cutest baby pony, Baby Sunbeam would (in my opinion) be the most deserving of the title. She is simply adorable, and in more ways than one. She is always full of adorable things to say,making innocent observations about everything and everyone she comes across. She has very little unicorn power at such a young age, primarily because Sunbeam's power is to call the sun to rise above Dream Valley each morning, and this is no small feat for any creature, even a unicorn. Baby Sunbeam has been taught, however, how to make the sun's rays grow brighter after it has been summoned by her mother. She is a master winker, and has been known to wink in and out of the most obscure places, even right on top of a passing pegasus- ask Skydancer if you are ever doubtful!
Because Skyflier and Gutsy share half of the same unicorn heritage, both have similar powers. While Gusty can make the wind blow, Skyflier can summon the winds to move in any direction she wishes, as well as bring the wind to carry any object (or even pony) she may want to move. Given her playful rivalry with Baby Gusty, Baby Skyflier has frequently used this special power to carry Baby Gusty straight out of the nursery and all the way to the moat outside Dream Castle! Baby Gusty has thereby become an expert swimmer! Baby Skyflier's most constant companions are Baby Sunbeam and Baby Twilight.
Baby Sparkler
Baby Sparkler is an impossible baby pony- her unicorn abilities allow her (and in a way also obligate her) to make everything and anything shine brilliantly as can only happen in a place as magical and special as Dream Valley. Her favorite past time, though, is to splash and roll endlessly in the various mud puddles the bushwoolies like to play in. Sparkler (who has very little patience to begin with) cares little for her daughter's attraction to the mud, and has developed a special spell with Majesty's assistance to keep her daughter clean- permanently, and regardless of what muddy substance she may feel the compulsion to explore. Though she often complains, she is reminded by the other baby ponies that she is the only one who doesn't have to take a bath each night, which shuts her right up!
Baby Powder
Powder's little one is an absolute cutie! Just feast your eyes on her! Like the elder, Baby Powder is one of the few ponies who prefers the cold to the usually warm and pleasant climate of Ponyland. She absolutely loves winter snow storms, and holds the record among infant ponies for the most snow-ponies built in the shortest span of time. (Customizer's Aside: Baby Powder is the only baby unicorn not made in the Baby Glory pose because her color combo of purple-red-white isn't bright enough for that specific pose. I think this pose works better because it also allows her to mimic her mother's upstretched neck and also adds an interesting twist on a pony that I think is the most difficult to make as a satisfactory custom).
Baby Gypsy
Speaking strictly in terms of appearances, Baby Gypsy is unique among the baby unicorns in that she is the only one with freckles upon her cheeks. She is also unique among the unicorns in that she holds a special power which can overpower the other baby unicorns: Baby Gypsy is able to entrance and enchant the others, in essence to hold them consciously captive! Of course, she would never use this to hurt the others, but it does afford her a certain respect which only the adult ponies seem to garner among the baby unicorns. Baby Gypsy is a very solitary creature who likes to take long, pensive journeys and visit with knowledgable beings like the Moochik and the Flutter Pony Queen, Rosedust.
