I read lots of different cartoon trading boards and there's almost always someone on one of them complaining about the poor quality of a set that they purchased through Ebay or Yahoo so I know that it hasn't just happened to us.
Now I don't want you to get the idea that all sellers on Ebay and Yahoo are dishonest,they're not. I have purchased a few good sets through Ebay and Yahoo but you should know that when you buy cartoons through online auctions it's a gamble.
Toon Central is definitely one of the best sites on the net for 80's cartoons (if not THE best). I have purchased 4 different sets from Toon Central in the past few months and Justin has ordered 2 sets so far. This is the only site that I have ordered from where the tapes come very professionally packaged with high quality professional labels,very nice episode lists (that are even on very high quality glossy paper ;)). The quality is definitely the best that I've seen also. The webmaster of Toon Central is Carole and she is very honest and friendly. The turnaround time on receiving the tapes is about average.
Unfortunately Katie is currently not taking orders but if she has any cartoons that you can't find anywhere else she might make an exception (at least she did for me :)). She is one of the friendliest traders I've ever dealt with and the quality of all the cartoons that I've ever gotten from her has been great. She's got a very cool He-man & She-ra site too ;).
The webmaster of this site is John. He's in Canada. He is very honest and reliable. He has lots of stuff besides 80's cartoons also. The quality of everything that we've ever gotten from him has been great,just as described. He is also very honest about the turnaround time of your order.

As you might know,although it might be fairly easy to find allot of those awesome 80's cartoons it's not as easy to find honest and reliable traders/sellers. BUYING 80's CARTOONS ON
EBAY OR YAHOO AUCTIONS
Everytime that we have had a bad experience buying 80's cartoons it has been on Ebay or Yahoo. The majority of the people selling cartoons through online auctions are just out to make a fast buck. They buy a set of cartoons (usually from one of the sites listed below) and then just re-copy that set. As I said,it's usually just someone trying to make some fast cash so they don't invest any money into buying good VCRs,blank tapes,etc. Everytime I've bought a cartoon set on Ebay or Yahoo the tapes would come on low quality tapes,they wouldn't have a list with them listing which episodes were on what tape and worst of all-the quality was sometimes as low as a 3 on a 1-10 scale! I once even e-mailed a guy just to make sure the quality of his cartoons was excellent as he said in his auction and he e-mailed me back saying something like "You won't find a better set anywhere else" and they ended up being some of the worst quality episodes I've ever seen! I e-mailed him about this numerous times but to this day he hasn't replied.
